K.Chung

K.Chung is an illustrator in Hong Kong and one of the founders of Cornerpuz, an independent mobile game development team.

He prefers to use young girls and historic Hong Kong as the inspiration for his illustrations. He enjoys looking into the potential of different styles in addition to the Japanese manga style.

Besides using computers as his primary medium, he also paints with various traditional pigments and enjoys employing vivid, intensely saturated colours.

At the Polytechnic University, K.Chung pursued a Diploma in Design and a Higher Diploma in Product Innovation and Technology. After graduating, he worked as the principal art writer and character designer of the video games “Little Fighter Online” and “Warload of the Three Kingdoms” for U1 Technology Company Limited.

He joined Dream Cortex of Outblaze after leaving U1 Technology Company Limited, where he worked on the creation of well-known IP games including Hello Kitty and Garfield. Later, he was the creative director of the mobile game “Armies of Dragons.”

K.Chung took the title in the Best Illustration (Unpublished) category from the first to the third annual events of the Greater China Illustration Awards, which were conducted across four locations (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau), and won third place, the Excellence Award and the first place respectively.

He accepted an invitation from the Taiwan publishing house Grimm Press in 2010 to handle the picture book’s illustrations, and he went on to win the 2nd China Illustration Awards’ Excellence Award in the Best Illustration (Publication & Editorial) Category.

He and his business partner founded Cornerpuz, a game creation studio, in September 2017. They then released their games, “OH! My Office” and “Ninja Gear.”

K. Chung held a mini, solo exhibition titled “A GIRLS” in April 2023 at the AWA LOUNGE in Hong Kong.
